The Black Shades love our loyal following in Clarksville, TN and appreciate the hospitality of DIY venue, The Coup. We particularly appreciate the friendship of our talented fan Rufus Dawkins, who, as of our last show in Clarksville, joined us on stage! Some people just can’t roll with The Black Shades, but Rufus kicked ass. Thanks to him and we’re excited to be featured at Clarksville’s Riverfest this Friday at 5:45pm on The Coup stage! Come see us!
On our way to the lake side city of Toledo, OH. We’re practicing a new song.

MT was hanging with these beautiful ladies Rachel and Andrea at Revolution 91.7’s Battle of the Bands. They were helping rep the awesomeness that is Skye Magazine, but I ended up not being able to use this picture in the story. So, here they are. Cute. Cute. Cute.
Sam 100.7 and musicians around the region participated in a charity softball game benefiting The Dream Factory. The Black Shades had an awesome time playing with and meeting some new musicians, as well as pwning local radio host Tony Rose.
Our good buddies Mikes Pawn Shop and I Became The Sky joined us at Tidball’s. Both bands are awesome up and coming musicians and we just plain dig ‘em. Prior to the show, we had BBQ Tacos at the Nutwood Manor (MT, Aaron, and Mary’s humble abode) and so glad to get some hangout time.
The Tidballs crowd is always awesome, but was extraordinarily awesome that night. Everyone was moving, dancing, and singing along.
We’d especially like to thank SirKyle Sanders, a former Revolutionary and all-around awesome dude, who brought his birthday celebration to Tidballs for our show.

The Black Shades played a KILLER, possibly our FAVORITE show yet at Tidballs in BGKY, with opener pop-punk Man Oh Man! and our Nashville friendsies Tesla Rossa. The crowd response was excellent. Everybody was dancin’ and getting their groove on, and even running in place.

Check out our fine female fans dancing the night away. The photo above was happening around the time that Aaron was pulling this move:

Man Oh Man and Tesla Rossa also performed solid, killer sets. Thanks, of course, to those bands for playin and Tidballs for having us. And the crowd for straight-up digging it.
The Black Shades @ Tidballs with Natty Bumpoe on Saturday April 10. Natty Bumpoe’s got some jamzzzz.
